Cookie and Analytics Notice

The short version

• Website: no cookies, no trackers, no traffic analytics.
• App: no ad tracking; only our own "Usage analytics", which you can turn off.

1. The Yanyou website

• The website is static with no sign-in. It sets no cookies and doesn't use browser storage to track you. The only thing kept in your browser is the language you pick in the language menu (繁體中文 or English); it stays on your device and is never sent to us.
• There are no ad trackers, tracking pixels, social plug-ins or traffic analytics.
• Our web host (Cloudflare) briefly keeps ordinary connection logs (such as IP address, time and page) for security and reliability; we don't use them to identify you.
• Links such as "View on map" open other sites (for example OpenStreetMap), which have their own privacy rules.
• If we ever add cookies or analytics, we'll update this page first.

2. The Yanyou app

• No ad tracking: no advertising identifier (IDFA), no tracking across other apps or websites, no sharing with advertisers.
• Usage analytics: we record on our own servers how you use the app (for example which screens you view and how far you get in a flow), without coordinates, phone numbers or message text. Single records are kept 90 days and daily summaries 400 days. Turn it off in Settings › Privacy & safety › Usage analytics.
• Crash reports: when the app hits an error, a report with personal data removed is sent to Sentry.
• Data on your phone: the app keeps your sign-in, settings, tutorial progress, "Beat the craving" rounds and, for each person, whether you chose to show their photo or their Mist companion. They stay on your phone and are removed when you delete the app.
